Multiple Fires Erupt at Cement Plant

Firefighters battled several fires that quickly spread throughout Essroc Cement in Nazareth, PA Saturday, April 11.

The first fire call was received just after 4pm. Firefighters battled fires in a tower, an underground tunnel, and a beltway that carries concrete from plant to plant. There were also subsequent brush fires reported in the area.

A conveyor belt malfunction is being reported as the cause of the fire. No injured were reported.
