Labelmaster DGIS Software Achieves SAP Certification

Labelmaster Software’s Dangerous Goods Information System (DGIS) 2.2 product has achieved SAP certification as powered by the SAP NetWeaver technology platform.

DGIS offers a robust software solution to manage compliance with hazardous material transport regulations, offering users the ability to manage safety and compliance risks and achieve efficiencies in the shipping process. The DGIS Enterprise tool maintains an internal hazardous parts database that automatically feeds classification information into shipper papers. It also tracks training to verify that employees have satisfied training requirements.

The SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC) has certified that Dangerous Goods Information System 2.2 is powered by SAP NetWeaver. Solutions that are powered by SAP NetWeaver can be more quickly and easily integrated into SAP solution environments. Customers can benefit from improved interoperability with SAP applications and with the large ecosystem of solutions that run on SAP NetWeaver. Choosing an SAP-certified solution can also help reduce overall IT investment costs and risks.

“The ability of DGIS Enterprise to run on SAP NetWeaver and interoperate with other SAP NetWeaver-based solutions will be highly beneficial to our current and future customers,” said Forest Himmelfarb, vice president at Labelmaster. “SAP is a market leader in enterprise application software and focuses in many industries where hazmat compliance is most acute.”

According to Himmelfarb, benefits of the certified DGIS Enterprise solution include:
* Reduction/elimination of data duplication and reentry between systems
* Increased efficiencies in shipping operations and supply chain execution
* Reduced safety and compliance risks
* Elimination of the need to update regulatory rules in systems for companies trying to maintain an SAP or non-SAP DG validation solution in-house

Labelmaster is a member of the SAP PartnerEdge program as a partner that designs, develops and builds software integrated with SAP solutions.

“Labelmaster is proud to be an SAP partner and excited about the benefits this brings to our customers, who are looking for more efficient means to ship hazardous materials compliantly,” added Himmelfarb.

DGIS by Labelmaster Software helps eliminate many of the challenges of shipping dangerous goods. With the industry's most robust, flexible and advanced dangerous goods and hazmat shipping software, Labelmaster saves customers time and helps keeps them compliant no matter where in the world their goods need to go.
