Fike Corp. has added two new types of vents to its explosion vent product lines: the round Sani-VA sanitary vent and the CV-S high vacuum vent.
 
The Sani-VA sanitary explosion vent is ideal for demanding "clean" applications.
 
"Fike has developed a leak-proof, crevice-free design that exceeds CIP/SIP (clean in place, steam in place) application needs,” said Stephen Clegg, Fike explosion protection product manager. “The Sani-VA explosion vent is designed to be NFPA 68 compliant and has 3A, EHEDGE, and ATEX certifications. The smooth transition between the membrane and the seal provide for an ideal sanitary explosion venting solution."
 
The CV-S high vacuum explosion vent is Fike's best performing vent under extreme vacuum conditions.
 
"The CV-S high vacuum explosion vent provides superior protection in applications such as air-material separation, drying, conveyance and processing operations,” said Carson Stephens, Fike explosion protection product specialist. High-vacuum conditions exist in many types of applications and the new CV-S high vacuum explosion vent is an ideal solution for high-vacuum and pulsating/cyclic process conditions. The CV-S high vacuum is built to exceed the NFPA 68 standard.
