The trial for the West Fertilizer Plant explosion that occurred April 17, 2013, in West, TX, that resulted in at least 14 fatalities, 226 injuries, has been delayed. Lawyers from both sides discussed changes that are necessary before the trial begins.
The trial was originally scheduled for January 27, 2015, but will now start six months later on July 27, 2015. The reason for the delay is because another defendant has been added to the lawsuit, El Dorado Chemical Co. The chemical company’s lawyers say more time is needed for preparation.
