Explosion-Resistant Snap-In Flexible Sleeve

The BFM flexible sleeve assembly is a snap-in flexible sleeve that is resistant to explosion pressures. An independent study subjected the BFM assembly to designed explosive charges. Five different Seeflex materials were tested. Results conclude that the BFM assembly resists pressure shocks exceeding 60 kPa (8 psi), while the sleeve held with traditional hose clamps failed. The BFM fitting can be utilized in any industry where flexible sleeves are required to enhance explosion protection. A test report and video are available.
