Dry Chemical Explosion Suppressor

The PistonFire II is a dry chemical explosion suppressor that is designed to meet the stringent requirements of NFPA 69 “Standard on Explosion Prevention Systems”. The unit is approved for use in Class II, Division I hazardous locations, and consists of a suppressant storage cylinder and a corrosion-resistant valve body with a weather-proof enclosure. It is equipped with a supervisory OSHA lockout feature that allows safe entry into protected vessels and prevents the arming of the suppression system when it is locked out. It is also equipped with a pressure switch that continuously monitors the operating pressure and provides an alert if the pressure is out of range. The suppressor utilizes a non-explosive actuation device that eliminates the need for explosive storage.
