4 Killed in Chemical Plant Explosion

Four people were killed and six others injured as a result of a massive explosion at a chemical plant in southern China Tuesday.

 

According to the city of Yulin's emergency management bureau, the blast occurred in the city shortly after 11 am in the factory's resin synthesis workshop where phenolin resin is manufactured. The Xinhua News Agency reported that the workshop contained about five tons of toxic raw materials.

 

An investigation was underway.
