Three workers were injured in an explosion at the Archer Daniels Midland oilseed processing plant in southeast London Friday.

"Three contractors who were working outside, in an adjacent silo, suffered injuries and were taken to a local hospital where they are being treated," ADM said in a statement.

London Fire Brigade was investigating the incident and reported that more than 400 workers at neighboring businesses had to be evacuated.

The ADM plant processes rapeseed and produces refined oil for food ingredients and biofuels.
