Rotary Screw Compressors

Available in flows from 424 to 1024 cfm and pressures to 217 psig, the redesigned DSD direct-drive-series rotary screw compressors feature an optimized Sigma Profile airend, a patent-pending Sigma Control system, and the latest one-to-one direct-drive technology. True direct-drive compressors, DSD units have an oversized airend connected directly to the motor via a maintenance-free coupling, achieving maximum efficiency. Remote grease fittings for the drive and fan motor also increase bearing life, adding to longevity and durability. The cooling airflow design reduces noise levels and provides excellent cooling. All units are fitted with a redesigned, high-efficiency separator system for low oil carryover.

Vacuum High-Speed Disperser

This new high-speed disperser is designed for vacuum operation and includes a self-contained vacuum pump/condensate recovery system. A 5-hp motor drives the mixer, and the speed is changed by means of a variablefrequency inverter. The self-contained air/oil hydraulic lift raises and lowers the disperser blade from the mix vessel. All wetted parts are made of Type-316 stainless steel and finished for easy cleaning. The disperser is manufactured with a rating from 1 through 250 hp. Standard models through 50 hp are kept in stock for rapid shipment. The unit is ideal for dispersions up to a maximum of approximately 50,000 cP. When used in conjunction with a multishaft mixer, it can be used for products up to several hundred thousand centipoise.

Telescopic Chute

Chute construction can be in any number of sections, diameters, and lengths based on individual requirements. Sections are rolled with exacting fabrication practices to ensure concentricity. Heavy rings reinforce both ends of each section for optimum structural integrity. A remote-mounted, grooved-drum power winch features an electrically released, mechanically applied brake. An integral winch design may be used for a more compact loading chute. An adjustable geared switch limits both extremes of chute travel. An additional limit switch may be provided as a redundant means of control at the upper extreme of travel for added safety.

Heavy-Duty Feeders

Best Model TMF twin-motor vibrating pan and grizzly feeders are designed to smoothly convey products. Flow of material is adjustable, and the flow rate can be variable or fixed. Heavy-duty vibratory feeders can be designed with top-, bottom-, or side-mounted drives. Feeders can be arranged for base mounting or overhead suspension. Counter-rotating motors provide a push-pull action, creating linear, straight-line motion that requires no belts, no springs to tune, and no air gaps to adjust. As the motors counter-rotate, side forces cancel out and linear forces are combined. Conveyance action is quiet and positive. The synchronized motor’s design eliminates uncontrolled bouncing at shut down.
