Screening and Contamination-Removal Sieve

The Blow Thru sieve enables processors to screen and transport material simultaneously and removes oversized contamination from powders during dilute-phase pneumatic conveying. Hence, it improves production and product quality while safeguarding reputation. It is used for screening powders from delivery tankers before storage or before tankers are filled at dispatch. It is also deployed anywhere powders are pneumatically conveyed. By combining material screening and transport, the sieve eliminates double handling, thus increasing efficiency. Since product is conveyed under pressure into the sieve through a tangential inlet, high throughput rates can be achieved with minimal pressure losses.

Sanitary Gap-Free Batch Sifter

The Vibroscreen sanitary batch sifter features gap-free screen frames, quick-disconnect clamps, radius corners, continuous ground and polished welds, and a crevice-free interior finished to sanitary standards. It meets cGMP, 3-A, USDA, and FDA standards and can be disassembled without tools for rapid sanitizing. The sifter is intended to scalp oversized particles as small as 38 microns (400 mesh) from dry bulk materials or solids-laden slurries. In contrast to conventional screeners, the sifter’s screen frame has an interlocking flange that fully envelops the support ring of the screen, allowing the screen’s wire mesh to fully extend to the interior walls of the frame. This function eliminates the gap between the screen ring and frame wall, where material can collect.

Fine-Powder Screeners

Hopper-feeder-screener systems incorporate the Model HK-12 equipped with the HK ultrasonic deblinding system, a stainless-steel feed hopper, and a vibratory feeder for continuous processing of powder applications. Containing a screen with a 12-in. diameter, the systems are offered with a range of options, including the ability to remove oversized material continuously and perform multiple deck applications. Units are available in 8-, 12-, 17-, 24-, and 36-in. diameters. An ultrasonic transducer is transferable to individual screen frames, enabling users to utilize only one transducer for all screen frames. The screeners are effective in labs and pilot plants for evaluating small powder batches. Mesh sizes are available down to 635 mesh or 5 micron.

Vibratory Sifters

One person can quickly and easily change screens on these vibratory sifters. The sifter’s sloped-deck design has gentle screening action that is ideal for friable, agglomerated, and instantized powders that cannot tolerate degradation. Features include quiet operation and high throughput per square inch of screen. Single-screen and multideck models are available with screen openings of 50 mesh or larger. Screen areas range from 5.4 to 53.8 sq ft. Easy one-step longitudinal screen tightening increases screen longevity and flatness while ensuring uniform apertures over the entire screen surface. Models are available in carbon steel and 304 or 316 stainless steel. A wide range of inlet and outlet styles and sizes can be specified.

Ultrasonic Lab and Pilot Sieve

Company offers a new Model SFA ultrasonic resonator fine-mesh deblinding system for its range of lab, pilot, and small production sieves. While not directly connected to the mesh, an all-titanium resonator ring with transducer is mounted to contact the stainless-steel mesh frame either from above or beneath the sieve. A special 250-W NEMA 4X ultrasonic generator makes the system especially efficient for both wet and dry applications. Models are available with 8-, 10-, 12-, and 15-in. screen diameters and are offered with multiple decks and continuous-discharge capacity.

Round Separator

The QuickChange NV reduces screen changing to a one-man operation, decreasing labor and eliminating the need to involve maintenance crews. Powered by a self-contained hydraulic unit, the system does not require outside utility hookups, and a staging area is not needed during screen changes. Screen changes can be made quickly, reducing downtime and increasing productivity.

Straight-Line Screening System

The Texas Shaker straight-line screening system offers a wide range of performance combinations. Featuring a multiple-deck design, it utilizes a straight-line inertia force generated by the spinning rotors, which improves shaker system balance as well as speed and amplitude. The vibration, or “shake,” is generated by a pair of rotating, unbalanced shafts, coupled with a pair of gears. By rotating in opposition, the shafts generate a straight-line inertia force, creating the movement. In this manner, the screening action is uniform over the entire flat surface area. Constantly changing velocity and the direction of the screening surface create a shuffling effect in the material bed, which enhances the passage of undersized particles and promotes stratification. Rotors and gears are mounted externally for easy access during maintenance.
