Systems integrator Material Handling Systems Inc. completed its acquisition of integration and equipment providers A2i Systems (A2i) and VanRiet Material Handling Systems, the Louisville, KY firm announced on Monday
“Our vision is to create a best-in-class provider of automated technology across parcel and warehouse and distribution, providing our customers with the capability to efficiently deliver packages to consumers worldwide,” MHS’ chief operating officer, Scott McRenyolds, said in a statement. “With this acquisitions of A2i and VanRiet, MHS has significantly expanded its global reach, warehouse and distribution expertise, and automated product portfolio.”
A2i, based in Alpharetta, GA, are providers of racking and material handling solutions in manufacturing plants, warehouses, and distribution centers and provide systems integration services. The company has over $150 million in sales, according to its website, serving customers in a diverse array of industries including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing in North America, Europe, and China.
Dutch pallet handling, order picking, sorting, and transport systems firm VanRiet has a presence in the U.S., UK, China, Poland, and the Netherlands. Centering its efforts on end markets like parcel services, e-commerce, and warehouse and distribution, the firm also is a systems integrator and offers after-market services.
Financial terms of the transactions were not revealed.
