Only 3 in. deep, the HI 4050 general-purpose weight controller is easily configured to meet specific application needs. Available with ac or dc power and in panel, remote, or blind DIN rail mounting, it installs quickly with no special holes to cut. The controller comes standard with Ethernet and optional Ethernet/IP or DeviceNet. The Batchmaster incorporates eight Model FW79 FlexWall volumetric screw feeders (three shown). The screw feeders contain 3-in. screws, pneumatic stop valves, and 5-cu-ft extension hoppers with bag dump stations. The 2-cu-ft weigh hopper is mounted on a rail and moved by a motor. Controls are PLC based and incorporate an operator interface for recipe selection. By sending the company the quantity of ingredients, individual maximum/minimum weights, maximum ingredients in the recipe, batches per hour, and storage volume per ingredient, customers can receive a prepared design recommendation and budget price within seven days.

The RuggedWeigh floor scale features a channel structure that provides sturdy, enclosed protection for under-deck components, so that they can’t be damaged through rugged use. It has a capacity of 5000×1 lb. The stainless-steel load cells, wiring, and stainless-steel junction box are fully protected within the main channel steel enclosure. Exact cuts in the channel provide protection. Specialized flexible footing compensates for uneven floors. Optional access ramps with checkered decks feature pads with holes in them, which extend and allow the unit’s feet to connect and lock in place for a quick and easy setup.

The CW250 portable electronic scale with infrared remote control now features NTEP approval with a proven compact portable design. It is offered in 14 models with capacities ranging from 150 to 2000 lb. Platform sizes are 15×15×4 in. and 24×24 ×4 in. The unit is constructed of heavy-duty die-cast aluminum. The larger pad weighs only 85 lb and the smaller pad 38 lb. The CW250 is lightweight and ideal for weighing drums up to 55 gal, chlorine cylinders, propane bottles, Freon tanks, fire extinguishers, recycling containers, hazardous medical wastes, and similar materials. It provides a weighing accuracy of ±0.1% (NTEP Class III) of applied load.

Company has incorporated its latest digital weighing technology, the Smart Force Transducer III (SFT III), into select gravimetric feeding and metering equipment. With a mechanical package specifically designed and optimized for duty in process applications involving single-point weighing, the SFT III is standard in the SWB300 and SWB600 Smart Weigh belt feeders, K4G gravimetric blender, and SFM350 and SFM275A Smart flow meters. Other K-Tron gravimetric feeders employ multipoint weighing or a scale and use the SFT II sensor. The SFT III’s single vibrating wire and unique parallelogram design resist torsional loading, making it suitable for unconstrained single-point weighing. Its monolithic structure produces a stiff and responsive measurement system with low deflection and no barometrically sensitive components.
