Gasket-Lined Explosion Vent
The Gasket Lined Vent (GLV) is designed specifically for use on vertical bucket elevators to comply with NFPA 61 and 68. The unit offers intelligent pressure relief for any application involving combustible dust where there is a risk of explosion. Utilizing an integral gasket/sealing membrane, it provides an economical alternative to expensive explosion venting. The vent is available in sizes 12×18 in. and larger with an operating pressure of 0.5 to 1.0 psig, per the NFPA standard.

Ultrasensitive Metal Detector
Enhancements have been made to the PowerPhasePRO software platform, the backbone of the company’s most advanced metal detectors, to increase productivity and reduce overall manufacturing costs. A combination of multiple and ultra-high-frequency operation, optimized vector and noise control algorithms, and intelligent multichannel technology deliver previously unattainable levels of detection sensitivity. Improvements of up to 50% can be achieved. Even irregularly shaped and difficult-to-detect nonmagnetic stainless-steel contaminants in wet or conductive products can be readily detected. A “Change-Free” mode enables the individual profile of multiple products to be clustered together and inspected at a single setting, which eliminates setup time and maximizes operational efficiency.

Screw Conveyor Seals
HB model seals are high-performing, standard-sized seals for screw conveyors and similar equipment. They have many of the design features used in custom MECO shaft seals, but are in stock in five CEMA and seven metric shaft sizes, from 1½ to 3 7/16 in., and from 40 to 90 mm. HB seals are designed to perform under 90% of the typical operating conditions associated with screw conveyors or scrolls. This includes food-grade applications, temperatures up to 500°F, abrasive products, and vertical or inclined conveyors. The HB accommodates up to ¼-in. of shaft run-out.

Conveyor Pull Cord Safety Stop Switch
The Pullswitch is a fail-safe taut wire emergency pull cord stop switch for conveyors. PVC-coated steel pull wires and pigtails connect between the switches to provide easy installation and continuous emergency stop access along the length of the entire conveyor. The switch can be installed at 200-ft intervals, reducing overall system cost. Quick location of a tripped switch is provided by a standard reflector or optional flag marker, and the tripped signal can be wired back to an indicator panel or PLC. The switch’s IP65/NEMA 4, 4X, 9-rated enclosure is made from polycarbonate and stainless steel, making the housing corrosion-resistant and weatherproof. There are a total of six independent internal changeover contacts. Two independent cam-operated switches with snap action mechanical operation are provided for conveyor shutdown, and four additional microswitches signal for a slack wire alarm. The Pullswitch is CSA class 2 division 1 groups E, F, and G approved.

Inline Miniature Rotary Batch Mixer
This inline miniature rotary batch mixer gently blends batches up to 5 cu ft in parts as small as 1 per million with complete uniformity, and in less than three minutes. The unit evacuates the batch with no residual and can be sanitized rapidly with no tools. The stainless-steel, sanitary unit, Model 700-TH-5-SS, features a stationary inlet and outlet for inline operation, and a rotating drum with proprietary mixing flights that tumble, turn, and fold material gently. The unit imparts minimal energy to the batch while rapidly achieving uniformity regardless of disparities in the bulk densities, particle sizes, or flow characteristics of batch ingredients. The mixer is equally efficient across its usable capacity range of 5 to 0.25 cu ft. A batch weight capacity of 500 lb is standard, with higher
capacities optional.

X-Ray Inspection Systems
The Dyxim series of x-ray inspection systems can accurately detect contaminated products and discharge them safely, before they are a problem in finished manufactured goods. These inspections are carried out automatically and are documented so that data can be provided for statistical evaluation of the control process. The main focus of the system is on the control points at which products can be checked for contaminants. The key advantage of these systems is that a more diverse range of contaminations can be discovered, including ceramics, high-density plastics, and the detection of cavities and rips in products. In addition, it’s possible to detect metal contaminations even in metal containers, metallic foils, or in containers with metal closures.

Dry Sorbent Injection Systems
As pollution concerns lead to increasingly tighter regulatory standards and the need for more-stringent controls at coal-fired power plants, Nol-Tec provides Sorb-N-Ject full dry sorbent injection systems for mitigating multipollutant emissions. Dilute-phase positive-pressure pneumatic conveying technology is used to continuously transfer dry bulk sorbent material from storage silos to injection ports on boiler flue gas ducts. The injected sorbent reacts with multipollutants in flue gas to reduce emissions. A fluidizing bin bottom is installed on each silo to prevent stored material from rat holing, bridging, or arching. Each loss-in-weight feeder hopper is easy to calibrate and equipped with its own reverse jet-pulse dust filter system, which traps the dust generated during feeder refill and returns it to the process.
