Cartridge Filter
Proprietary high-strength DuraShield polyester-reinforced media are used in the DuraShield cartridge filter. The media have a fluorocarbon meltblown outer-surface layer that produces a high-efficiency minimum efficiency reporting value (MERV) of 15 for this type of cartridge filter. The surface-loading media achieve optimum particulate release during pulse cleaning. Synthetic fibers used throughout the media do not disintegrate, unlike some surface-bonded media. The DuraShield can withstand the rigors of repeated pulse cleaning cycles. These features are coupled with a low initial pressure drop and high moisture resistance.

pbs0701p4b.jpgStainless-Steel Clamps and Couplings
T-bolt band clamps and V-band couplings are manufactured from 300-series stainless steel and from 316 stainless steel for sanitary applications. Several custom latch options can be provided, such as over-center handles and quick-release latches with knobs for clamps that are to be operated by hand. Safety clips and safety pins are also available. Many sizes and styles are in stock, while custom products are manufactured to specifications. Applications for V-band couplings include mixing and separating equipment, while applications for T-bolt band clamps and worm-drive clamps include bag houses and hose-line assemblies.

pbs0701p4c.jpgPowder Induction System
For mixing powders into liquids, the Fastfeed powder induction system offers consistent powder delivery even as viscosity and solids levels increase, ensuring that the system will never plug or foul. It provides the benefits of an in-line, skid-mounted dispersion system that feeds powders and disperses them instantly and delivers powder in-line at controlled feed rates from 3 to 200 lb/min. It allows processors to add dry ingredients to mix vessels in an ergonomic fashion, reducing operator injuries and providing the shear required for today’s tough and changing ingredients.

pbs0701p4e.jpgPoint Level Control
A new patent-pending variable radio-frequency (VRF)-series sensor detects the presence or absence of material in a vessel by compensating for the load of the probe and the load induced by vessel environment, automatically determining the optimal operating frequency for the greatest sensitivity and stability. At initial start-up, the sensor detects the characteristics of air (no load) and calibrates to it. If installed in material, the VRF senses the change that occurs when the load is reduced (i.e., when material leaves probe), automatically recalibrating to the new condition without the need of an operator or technician.
