Bag Kicker
The Model 4217 bag kicker is an in-line belt conveyor designed to transfer sealed bags from an upright position to a horizontal bottom-first position at a right angle to the closing line. The bag can then be properly presented to a flattening conveyor and palletizing station. For in-line filling, closing, and palletizing systems, the Model 4216 bag-turning conveyor should be used to transfer bags from upright to horizontal bottom-first position. Both conveyors are available with vertical lift assembly for quick and easy height adjustment using hand crank or electric controls.

Modular, High-Capacity Filter
FilterMax DX is a modular, high-capacity filter designed for industrial handling of dry dust. The filter is used for working environments that require explosion protection. Each module has a maximum airflow of 2000 cfm, and up to three modules can be combined for a total airflow of 6000 cfm. The filter has a reinforced chassis with double grounding and an explosion vent panel, and is equipped with a pulse-jet filter-cleaning system. The dust is released from the filter cartridge by short, powerful jets of air and falls down into a container. The filter is easy to use and is equipped with a control box that monitors the performance of the filter during continuous operation.

Dust Valve
The Vacu-Valve Platypus low-maintenance dust collector valve operates as a constant-discharge valve for dust collectors, hoppers, cyclones, and other equipment operating under negative pressure. Its duckbill design allows it to dispense free-flowing material continuously. It requires no lubrication or power source, has no controls, is ideal for “keep empty” dust-collection units, and is available in carbon or stainless-steel versions. The replaceable duckbill sleeves are available in neoprene, viton, or white nitrile, making the unit suitable for general use, high-temperature, or food-grade applications. Typical industries that use this valve include foundry, mining, cement, pharmaceutical, dry foods, plastics, chemical, and manufacturing.

Small, Smart Dust Collectors
An extension of the company’s patented PowerCore technology, Torit PowerCore dust collectors are smaller and smarter than traditional baghouse technologies. Field tested with excellent results in major wood, grain, cement, and plastics manufacturing operations for more than a year, full-scale collectors are now available in stand-alone and bin-vent configurations. Stand-alone units are up to 50% smaller than traditional baghouses, while bin-vent models are up to 70% smaller than traditional technology. The collectors filter dust better, save space, allow point-of-use filtration, offer easy maintenance, and address cost concerns. PowerCore media technology is integral to the downsizing of the unit. Just 7 in. tall, one filter pack replaces six traditional 8-ft-long fabric filter bags. Instead of hours or days to remove cumbersome and dirty traditional filter bags, PowerCore filter packs are removed from the clean side of the collector with one hand in minutes, without using tools.

Vacuum Receivers
Redesigned P-series central receivers are designed to handle powders, poor-flowing powders, and fragile materials, providing a custom solution for difficult conveying applications. The modularity of the P series has recently been enhanced with the introduction of extension modules to increase the receiving volume of bulk materials. The new design also allows ease of disassembly and cleaning, offers a new sealing and earthing feature, and is more user-friendly. The design meets CGMP sanitary requirements, with all components constructed of stainless steel (DIN 1.4404, AISI 316). Units are available in bead blast, satin, or mirror-polished finish. Other design features include reverse-jet polyester cartridge filters, tri-clover quick-release fittings and band clamps for quick disassembly, food-grade gaskets, and steep cone angles to ensure excellent discharge.

Mobile De-Dusting System
The XP-DeDuster is a mobile, closed-loop CCD-system (compact cyclonic dedusting). The extremely low height of the unit was the key for this type of new technology. The mobile unit can be moved under each silo for cleaning the resins before loading or packaging. The de-duster can be cleaned easily with compressed air or water in order to avoid contamination when changing the product. The product to be cleaned is fed into the unit by gravity, and an adjustable inlet deflector distributes the pellets proportionally to the wash decks. The unit operates with three cleaning areas: the upper wash zone, the Venturi zone, and the lower wash zone. The wash decks are equipped with slots and holes located and designed for an effective air wash effect. A magnetic coil at the inlet generates a magnetic field that interrupts the electrostatic charges for a short time to allow the separation of the dust from the surface of the pellets.

Pneumatic Housing
Based on its drawer-in-housing platform, this pneumatic housing incorporates a series of 1-in.-diam, 50-MgOe rare-earth tubes on staggered centers, versus a single center-flow cartridge circuit often prescribed for pneumatic line systems. This configuration ensures that all product flowing through the housing makes repeated contact with the magnets. The resulting capture rate of ferrous and weakly magnetic stainless contaminants exceeds other magnetic separators available for this type of application. Ideal for dilute-phase pneumatic systems, the housing is suitable for processing dry, powder, and granular materials. It can be used ahead of processing equipment and bulk load-out stations to ensure product purity and protect machinery from tramp metal damage.
