Compact, Economical Direct Drive Fans
January 5, 2015
Chicago Blower’s airfoil bladed SQAD is the direct drive alternative to the company’s belt drive SQA fan. Size for size the square SQAD delivers the same performance and efficiency in a more compact footprint. For some applications, such as high temperatures, the belt drive is still the preferred selection.
The SQAD fan has low initial cost, plus belt drive maintenance is eliminated. There are no fan shafts, bearings, drive belts, or guards to replace or maintain. Not only are fans AMCA Certified for air performance, SQA fans carry the new AMCA Fan Efficiency Grade certification, a measure of energy saving capability.
In addition to SQA square fans for clean airstreams, Chicago also offers an SQB version for dirty or dusty conditions and an SQI fan for harsh industrial environments. A new SQA/SQAD bulletin is now available with dimensions and performance tables for each of the many fan sizes.
