The Industrial Gas Filtration and Generation Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, today announced the opening of a new Industrial Filter Test Lab and Customer Experience Facility in Slater, MO. The Filter Test Lab enables engineers to conduct precise media and filter testing in the development of innovative filtration technologies.

The highlight of the lab is a new test rig dedicated to testing in accordance with ANSI/ASHRAE 199-2016. The test rig provides a quantitative method for determining the performance of pulse cleaned filters. The unit feeds dust through a humidity and temperature controlled loop, then into a dust collector with instrumentation that measures differential pressure and fractional efficiency. The test rig is used in the design, construction, and selection of new filter technology.

The Industrial Filter Test Lab will be available for tours during visits as well as customer seminars. Customers will observe the various testing methods conducted across flat media, pleated filtration, finished filter testing methods, and competitive testing.

“This contemporary Industrial Filter Test Lab and Customer Experience Facility will expand our ability to quickly deliver alternatives and advancements in support of our customer’s dust collection priorities. The Lab will allow for rapid testing of filters and media in product development and competitive analysis. We are eager to engage customers at the facility and let them see and interact with the equipment,” said David Collison, business unit manager, Industrial Gas Filtration and Generation Division, in a press release.

The Industrial Filter Test Lab incorporates testing of flat media, pleated media, finished filter testing as well as a Baghouse Environment Simulation Technology (BEST) tester. Learn more about the Aftermarket Dust Collection Filters and Parts at www.BHA.com.
