De-Dusting Improves Product, Keeps Environment Clean
June 8, 2015
Dust in bulk solid materials, including plastic resins, minerals, metal ores, aluminum chips, tablets, granular foods, and others, may cause environmental hazards, housekeeping concerns, or reduced quality in the finished product. Therefore, the removal of dust and other contaminants is an important part of the material handling process.
Pelletron’s DeDuster removes dust and other contaminants to a very low level. The DeDuster is wear-resistant and can be used for all kinds of abrasive materials. The photo shows a wear-resistant DeDuster for cleaning iron ore. DeDusters are commonly installed at the end of the conveying line before packaging or bulk loading. Various models are available in sizes ranging from 10 to 1,000,000 lb/hr.
Pelletron offers free-of-charge de-dusting test in its test lab. Use the online form on the company’s website.
