A dust collector used with a Wheelabrator blasting machine caught on fire at the Cooper Standard Automotive plant in Auburn, IN during the early hours of Wednesday morning, the DeKalb County Starreported.

Fire personnel were dispatched to the scene at about 2 a.m. and determined that the dust collection system was ablaze. The fire was extinguished in about 18 minutes and then firefighters worked with Cooper Standard workers to clear the dust collector of debris, Fire Chief Michael VanZile told the Star.

No damages to the structure occurred, the report said, and no injuries were logged during the incident.

Cooper Automotive Systems is a supplier of sealing systems, fuel and brake delivery systems, fluid transfer systems, aviation flooring, sheeting, anti-vibration systems, and a number of other products for automotive, industrial, and aerospace end users, according to the firm’s website.
