AFF now exclusively uses scrim-supported felt in the production of its filter bags in order to improve the quality and extend the life of the dust bags. Not only does scrim add strength to the fabric for greater durability, but it also provides increased support and static conductivity. Bags made from felt with supporting scrim can better withstand abrasive dust and repeated cleaning, which leads to longer bag life and less frequent replacement. Scrim-supported felts are stocked in a wide range of weights and finishes (singed, glazed, etc.) to address a variety of specific dust types and provide the best possible filtration.
