Dust in bulk solids materials such as plastic resins, minerals, metal ores, AL-chips, tablets, granular foods, and other materials, may cause environmental hazards as well as housekeeping or quality problems of the end product. Therefore, removal of the dust and other contaminants is an important part of the material handling process.
Pelletron developed the DeDuster dust removal machine that removes dust and other contaminants to a low level. The DeDusters are wear resistant and can be used for a range of abrasive materials. Dedusters are available in various sizes for small- and large-scale applications, from 200 to 1,000,000 lb/hr.
The photo shows a wear-resistant DeDuster, used for iron ore or mineral cleaning. Preferably, Dedusters should be installed at the end of the conveying line before packaging or bulk loading. Pelletron offers free of charge DeDusting tests.
