Vibrating fluid bed dryers, coolers, and pellet classifiers from The Witte Co. are available with Allen Bradley programmable logic controllers (PLC) as an option to automate operation of the process machinery. Ensuring accurate, repeatable control over the air temperature, start-up and shutdown sequence, and other parameters, the PLC-based, integrated control system helps ensure product quality consistently meets specifications for moisture, particle shape, and other requirements without downtime for manual setup. The process is automatically monitored for proper operation and data acquisition runs in real-time for instant analysis and adjustments. Ideal for processing foods, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, plastics, minerals, and other materials in continuous or batch to batch processes, these dryers, coolers, and classifiers with PLC-based controls feature intuitive, touch-screen control panels in full color for easy operation, all mounted to a mobile pedestal for proper ergonomics and operator convenience. The PLC-based control system may be customized for each machine and process and may be retrofit on Witte process equipment in the field.
