Marion Mixers’ new microwave mixer features a horizontal trough reactor with a paddle-style agitator, transmitter, and waveguide system with controls. The paddle-style agitator keeps the material in constant motion with gentle agitation as the ingredients are being heated. This allows the microwave energy to apply all the heat directly into the load, which increases process drying. It achieve greater yields and better quality products by eliminating uneven heating and product scorching in the shortest possible time. The optional jacketed trough can be used to cool product in the same vessel. Applications where microwave mixing prove beneficial include: drying, cooking, dehydration, sterilization, pasteurization, and tempering.
