Low-Energy Vibrating Fluid Bed Dryer/Cooler Introduced
Carman Industries' vibrating fluid bed processor

Carman Industries introduces a vibrating fluid bed processor with low-energy requirements for drying and cooling aggregate material.

It efficiently dries and cools aggregate product at high capacities. It features a heat recovery system to reduce overall energy consumption. An integral cooling zone reduces product temperature for safer handling and reduced condensation.

Capable of handling a broad range of particle sizes, the vibrating fluid bed processor uses controlled vibrations to eliminate deck pluggage and convey large, non-fluidized “rocks” through the dryer.

The processors heats, cools, dries, or moisturizes bulk solid material. By passing controlled process air up through the material bed of the vibrating fluid bed processor, the material is percolated like a gently boiling fluid. The solid particles undergo intensive intermixing, as process air surrounds each particle, permitting direct heat and/or moisture transfer between the air and the particles. This intimate contact between air and material particles makes a fluidized bed an efficient convection heat and moisture transfer process.
