The 20-in.-diam Solimar manhole cover offers faster opening and closing, thanks to a single pivoting ball handle. In addition, the manhole’s low 4.25-in. profile protects workers because it is easy to step on or over with no protruding clamps. Less time spent on top of a trailer or silo clamping down the hatch translates to safer working conditions. Other features include a leak-free, self-sealing hollow gasket for a tight fit. It’s easy to install, remove, clean, or replace with no glue needed. Lightweight, cast aluminum construction assures long life, while providing working pressure of 30 psig (MAWP) and test pressure of 45 psig, plus compliance with DOT-407. The manhole cover can be used as original equipment or for retrofitting existing vessels.
