No. 896 is a 350°F shelf oven used for storing bottles of powder in a free-standing rack. Workspace dimensions of this oven measure 68” W x 30” D x 66” H. 18 KW are installed in Nichrome wire heating elements, while a 1000 CFM, 1-hp recirculating blower provides horizontal airflow to the workload.
This Grieve shelf oven has 4-in. insulated walls and an aluminized steel exterior. Features include Type 430 stainless steel interior and double doors in the front and rear. The floor of the workspace is reinforced for 5000-lb loading at hardpoints in corners to support customer’s rack.
Controls on the No. 896 include a digital indicating temperature controller, manual reset excess temperature controller with separate contactors, and a recirculating blower airflow safety switch.
