Over 500 Firefighters Respond to Chemical Plant Explosion
Emergency personnel were called to the Transit Fluorine Silicon Material Co. Ltd. chemical plant in the Zhejiang province in China on Monday after an explosion and fire occurred at the facility.

New LDPE Unit in Louisiana Achieves Beneficial Operations
Chemicals and energy firm Sasol announced that its new low-density polyethylene (LDPE) unit in Lake Charles, LA reached beneficial operation on November 15. With the addition of the LDPE asset, the company’s $12.8 billion Lake Charles Chemicals Complex (LCCP) project is 100% complete.
