A three-alarm fire broke out early on Wednesday morning at a Dow Chemical Company plant in Charlotte, NC, prompting the response of over 50 firefighters to fight the blaze, several local news media organizations reported.

Fire crews were able to put down the fire at the Orr Road plant within 40 minutes, Dow Chemical spokesperson Jarrod Erpelding told the Charlotte Observer, adding that no injuries were reported. A number of neighboring buildings were evacuated as a precaution.

“We will continue to work closely with all agencies to ensure the site and the surrounding community remains safe. An investigation is already under way to determine the cause of the incident,” the company said in a statement reprinted by Charlotte, NC NBC News affiliate WCNC.
