Firefighters were sent to the OxyChem plant in La Porte, TX in the early hours of Tuesday morning after a chemical fire ignited at the facility.

Officials told ABC News affiliate KTRK that firefighters worked for about three hours to extinguish the flames at the Oxy Vinyls – La Porte VCM plant. The blaze reportedly occurred in a pump.

“No injuries to plant personnel or responders has been reported, and all personnel are accounted for,” the company said in a statement posted by the La Porte Office of Emergency Management account on Twitter. “Our first priority is safeguarding the health and safety of our workers and the community, and we will conduct an investigation to determine the cause.”

The fire started around 2 a.m. and was doused by around 3:30 a.m., coverage by KHOU detailed.
