Materials manufacturer Henkel announced the opening of its new Application Center in Santa Clara, CA Tuesday that will support the development of new electronics products.

“The current pace of technology progress is unprecedented,” Stefan de Diego, regional head of Electronics, Americas and Europe for Henkel, said in a company release. “And, for today’s investors, being first to market is integral to commercial success. With our knowledgeable team and extensive lab resources – located in the global epicenter of tech innovation – Henkel can provide even more immediate and impactful prototype design and analysis support for our customers, helping them to meet critical time-to-market windows with tested, proven devices.”

Investing $2 million in the location, Henkel’s Santa Clara site is a co-development environment with technology design and testing resources. The site features robots, 3D printers, mechanical property evaluation equipment, coating and jetting systems, and failure analysis capabilities.

Henkel’s materials are used in electrical connections, heat management, durability, and protection from environmental conditions and stress.
