The Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD) and Responsible Distribution of Canada (RDC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to support the continued collaboration and commitment to their respective Responsible Distribution programs.
The memorandum recognizes the role that each program plays in the safe and secure management of chemicals throughout the supply chains of the US and Canada.
“ACD and RDC’s respective Responsible Distribution programs are central to the way our industry operates,” said Eric R. Byer, president and CEO of ACD. “We are excited about this important continued collaboration reaffirming a joint commitment to these guiding principles upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability. By further collaborating across borders, the industry can strengthen the chemical supply chain today and into the future.”
Since 1991, ACD Responsible Distribution has been a trusted, comprehensive set of environmental, health, safety, security, and sustainability standards within the chemical distribution industry. This comprehensive framework demands continuous improvement in every phase of chemical storage, handling, transportation, and disposal.
RDC proactively serves and supports an ethical, safe, and responsible chemical distribution industry, primarily in Canada through its management program. Its eight guiding principles that govern member company actions are related to all aspects of the distribution of chemicals, chemical products, and chemical services.
The Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD) partners with our more than 400 chemical distribution industry members.
