Air Liquide Opens New Specialty Chemicals Plant in U.S.

Specialty chemicals and materials firm Air Liquide Advanced Materials Inc. (ALAM) held a ribbon cutting event on Oct. 19 to mark the inauguration of its new specialty chemicals production site in Upper Mount Bethel, PA, the company announced in a press release Wednesday. 

The site features 105,000 sq ft of space for production uses, two manufacturing suites, and new infrastructure. 

“Air Liquide Advanced Materials is experiencing strong global growth, and the inauguration of the second state-of-the-art Advanced Materials Center in Upper Mount Bethel, PA further enhances our ability to serve customers with innovative products and technologies,” said Paul Burlingame, the firm’s president and chief executive officer, in a press release. 

ALAM develops and produces specialty gases, liquids, solid materials for the global electronics industry, including manufacturers of semiconductors. Founded in 2013 as a result of Air Liquide’s acquisition of Voltaix, the company operates production sites in the U.S., South Korea, Japan, and France.
