Powder Show Connect, a year-round online community for the processing industry, launched an all-new resource that arms industry veterans and newcomers alike with exclusive thought leadership, product demonstrations, and educational content presented by renowned experts. The bi-weekly presentations serve as an extension of The International Powder & Bulks Solids (iPBS), the industry’s leading conference and exhibition, and Powder & Bulk Solids magazine, the go-to resource serving the processing community since the 1980s.

Powder Show Connect is free and easy to join, created specifically for the processing community to share ideas, innovations, and groundbreaking technologies year-round.

Additionally, the recurring educational series also provides the opportunity to make new connections leading up to both the 2022 PBS South Conference & Expo, slated for June 14-16 at the Charlotte Convention Center, and the 2023 iPBS Conference & Expo confirmed to be held next year from April 25-27 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. Register here for this year’s show in North Carolina.

All educational content is purposely designed to address the challenges and opportunities process engineers, safety engineers, plant operations and maintenance engineers, process improvement managers, and plant owners navigate daily. With Powder Show Connect, this niche community of OEMs, process engineers, and executives – whose activity accounts for 70% of the manufacturing lifecycle of every product on earth – now have unfettered access to much-needed technical and forward-looking education, idea sharing, and new technology spotlights.

"We're so excited to launch Powder Show Connect to facilitate industry-wide conversations and amplify the voices and technologies, keeping business competitive, compliant, and profitable," said Steve Everly, Group Event Director, Powder Show Connect at Informa Markets.

Powder Show Connect officially launched on May 5, featuring a presentation from Dr. Timothy J. Bowser of Oklahoma State University’s Robert M. Kerr Food & Agricultural Products Center. The two discussed screening and separation at critical control points. All past workshops will be housed on the iPBS website.

Rob Ward, President of US Operations at Russell Finex Inc. and upcoming Powder Show Connect speaker, said, “Powder Show Connect fills a knowledge gap that has been overlooked for too long, providing an all-encompassing platform for the industry to participate in live discussions, garner regular updates from top experts, and be active with peers on a regular basis. This commitment from Informa Markets – Engineering, organizers of the International Powder & Bulk Solids (PBS) trade show, is so important, facilitating much-needed discussion and bringing innovations to the forefront on a year-round basis.”

Ward continued, “I encourage everyone in the powder and bulk solids field, both new and seasoned experts, to participate in the bi-weekly sessions, so collectively, we can evolve into a highly collaborative industry and spotlight new technologies and solutions that will advance our field.”
