PBS Montréal, a part of the six-event Advanced Design & Manufacturing Expo (ADM Montréal) was held Nov. 13-14, 2024, at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.

For two days, attendees saw 250+ suppliers across the entire manufacturing supply chain with the latest technologies, met with industry professionals, and took part in educational sessions.

The six expos included: Design & Manufacturing, ATX (automation and robotics), Pack Ex (packaging), PBS (powders & bulk solids), Expoplast (plastics), and Fabrication de Batteries (batteries and EVs).

Here is a peek at a few companies that demonstrated the latest equipment, materials, and more in the processing space:

Multivac Canada

Multivac, maker of processing and packaging solutions, shared technologies for packaging meat, cheese, plant-based foods, baked goods, or industrial and consumer products. Their innovative solutions are designed for exceptional performance while helping reduce waste, extend shelf life, boost brand recognition, and protect products.

SwissLog

The company offers products and systems for automated logistics such as storage and automated storage & retrieval systems, transport & conveyors, and picking and palletizing.

Convyoyeurs LM

Convoyeurs LM had demos at their booth at the event with a diverse range of innovative conveyors, including automated 24V conveyors, wiremesh conveyors, and CDLR conveyors with a pop-up.

In addition, some of Québec's leading advanced manufacturing suppliers, including Neptune Nanotechnologies Inc., Redemac Inc., Vaisala, and Absolute Haitian Corp., were also demonstrating their products.

Educational Sessions

Technical sessions were held at the Tech Theatre and Centre Stage. Over the two days, experts in Québec's advanced manufacturing sector discuss topics shaping the industry, such as supply chain challenges and innovations in the battery sector.

Two keynote speakers were: Paul Bird, Chief Commercial Officer at the Port of Montréal and Michel Parent, Directeur Filière Batterie with Propulsion Québec.
