Nestlé S.A. Appoints CEO as Schneider Leaves
Laurent Freixe, currently the executive vice president and CEO, Zone Latin America has been named chief executive officer, Nestlé S.A.

Laurent Freixe, currently Executive Vice President and CEO Zone Latin America (LATAM), has been named as Chief Executive Officer Nestlé S.A. by the Board of Directors, effective September 1.
The Board also nominated Freixe as a candidate for the Board of Directors at the 2025 Annual General Meeting.
Current CEO Mark Schneider has decided to leave the company. During his eight years, Schneider has actively shaped the company’s portfolio, in line with Nestlé’s strategy and with a focus on high-growth categories like coffee, pet care, and nutritional health products.
Freixe joined Nestlé in France in 1986. Since then, he has continuously progressed within the company in various positions of increasing responsibility across different businesses, markets and zones. He managed Zone Europe during the financial and economic crisis, from 2008 until 2014. He then took over as CEO of Zone Americas, where he accelerated growth. With the creation of Nestlé’s new Zone structure in 2022, Freixe was named CEO of Zone Latin America.
He has been a member of the Executive Board for 16 years and has led several global corporate initiatives to improve productivity, increase operational efficiency, simplify processes and drive innovation. Additionally, he has an active role in the Nestlé Leadership and Training Programs as well as the Nestlé Needs YOUth initiative, which promotes youth employment.
Additional attributes include: International Youth ambassador for the International Youth Organization for Ibero-America, chairman of the Global Apprenticeship Network (GAN), Mmember of the Supervisory Board of Cereal Partners Worldwide (CPW), member of the Board of Directors of Froneri Lux Topco Sàrl, Luxemburg, and member of the Regional Board of Directors of the Consumer Goods Forum in Latin America. He is also a member of the executive committee of World Business Council for Sustainable Development.
