Wm. M. Meyer & Sons Inc. recently achieved ISO 9001:2015 certification recognizing that the company’s quality management system meets standards developed by the International Organization for Standardization of Geneva, Switzerland.
The ISO 9001 standard is understood internationally to represent a company’s commitment to a quality process. The standard requires a company to have a quality management system based on the idea of building quality into everything the company does. Individual companies determine how to implement the standard to meet their specific needs and the needs of their customers. Certification is open to companies that can demonstrate compliance with the standard by passing a rigorous audit by an independent registrar.
“We’ve always been fiercely dedicated to producing quality products in an efficient and safe environment,” saidGreg Buric, President, Meyer & Sons, in a statement. “This, combined with our passion for exceeding customer expectations, is why we’ve been in business for more than 70 years. Adding to it this official ISO recognition makes us proud and assures our customers that they can demand the highest quality, durability and continuous customer satisfaction.”
Since 1946, Meyer has focused on developing a solid foundation with the best people, state-of-the-art equipment, and an excellent physical plant. Developing a quality system based on the ISO 9001 standards was a logical next step for the company.
