British nutritional ingredients supplier Cambridge Commodities is growing its presence in the US market with the acquisition of Ultimate Superfoods, a California-based ingredients manufacturer, the company announced in a release Monday.

“We are delighted to welcome the talented team at Ultimate Superfoods into the Cambridge Commodities family,” Cambridge Commodities Commercial Director Neil Hammill said in a statement. “This venture grows our business operations in the states and we look forward to continuing to supply customers with quality nutritional ingredients and healthier innovation to support wellbeing in the US and the rest of the world.”

The company said Ultimate Superfoods will benefit from access to its approved list of approved nutritional ingredients suppliers, product development capabilities, and technical personnel.

“As part of our continuous journey to find the best superfoods, we are incredibly excited to join the Cambridge Commodities family,” said Ultimate Superfoods Director of Sales David Evans in the release. “Together we’ll be able to increase our warehousing capability and have access to a global team of knowledge and ingredients to expand our offering to our customers.”
