Trace Minerals Firm Zinpro Names New Director of Operations

Eden Prairie, MN-based Zinpro Corporation, a producer of trace minerals for animal nutrition, recently announced that Jason Wibbels was named as the firm’s global director of operations. When he steps into the new role, Wibbels will serve in Zinpro’s executive team and manage all manufacturing, warehouse, sourcing, and safety operations across the firm’s footprint. 

“Jason’s extensive production management and operations background, his engineering knowledge and his expertise on systems that reduce waste and improve safety, customer satisfaction and sustainability have prepared him exceptionally well for this positon,” Patrick Brunner, Zinpro’s chief operating officer, said in a statement. “We’re very happy to have a person of Jason’s caliber on our team to establish and execute operational strategies that are aligned enterprise-wide to meet customer demand, drive product quality, improve efficiencies, and continuously upgrade production processes and systems.”

Bringing over two decades of manufacturing leadership experience to Zinpro, Wibbels’ last role was operations director at Smiths Medical. He has also held positions as plant manager, operations manager, and production manager at several manufacturing firms that produce foundational materials used by a range of end-users from food and beverage to energy, including Honeywell and General Electric. 

Zinpro’s incoming director of operations is Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified for waste reduction systems, improving customer satisfaction, and sustaining productivity and quality. Wibbels earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology at Terre Haute, IN.
