The Mortars business of French multinational Saint-Gobain’s Construction Products unit is acquiring Singapore-based E-Mix, a provider of mortars and dry mixes in the southeast Asia region, for about $115.7 million, according to press release issued Friday.

“The acquisition is in line with the group’s strategy of expanding its presence in emerging countries and will give the Mortars business, which is already operational in China, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia under the Weber brand, a leading positon in the region, complimenting both its geographical presence and its portfolio of applications,” a cSaint-Gobain statement said.

E-Mix, a subsidiary of NSL Group, has created dry-mixed plaster and mortar for more than two decades, providing solutions like tile adhesives, plastering mortars, masonry products, and technical mortars. In 2015, the company had sales of about $77.9 million, according to Saint-Gobain’s release.

The transaction’s closure is pending completion of procedures required by the Singapore Market Authorities.
