Operations were halted Thursday at agribusiness Archer Daniels Midland’s grain export site in Ama, LA because of an equipment-related accident, Reuters reported.
A crane located on a barge collided with a conveyor belt system, which damaged the equipment but caused no injuries, ADM told Reuters.
ADM spokesperson Jackie Anderson told the news wire service that the company would move operations from the Ama site to three other locations in the Louisiana Gulf Coast area.
Damages are being assessed by the company at the site, which is predominantly used for corn and soybeans.
