A member of the board of directors of agribusiness Bunge, John E. McGlade, resigned from his role, the company announced in a December 4 release. The change went into effect immediately.

“John has been a trusted colleague and advisor for many years. The board would like to express our gratitude for John’s guidance and leadership,” Kathleen Hyle, chairperson of Bunge, said in a statement. “We thank him for his thoughtful service and wish him all the best for the future.”

Following a career at Air Products and Chemicals Inc., McGlade joined Bunge’s board in 2014. He served as president and chief executive officer of Air Products from 2006 to 2008 and as chairman, president, and chief executive officer from 2008 to July 2014, when he retired.

McGlade currently serves on the board of directors of The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and is a trustee of The Rider-Pool Foundation and ArtsQuest Foundation.

Earlier this year, the firm said it is planning to move its headquarters from White Plains, NY to St. Louis, MO by the second quarter of 2020.
