Lubrizol Creates New Life Science Brand

Specialty chemicals firm The Lubrizol Corporation recently combined its Personal and Home and Health Care business lines into a new brand, Lubrizol Life Science, the company announced in a release Thursday. The consolidation of the businesses into the new brand are part of Lubrizol’s efforts to evolve with the beauty, health, and wellness markets.  

“Lubrizol Life Science brings together a great variety of formulation and product development experience to sit under one umbrella,” Rick Tolin, president of Lubrizol Advanced Materials, said in a statement. “Our internal capabilities are focused and aligned to help our customers quickly meet the expectations of today’s consumers for products that ensure them of a healthier, more beautiful and comfortable life.”

The firm said the newly-minted brand will acquire additional technology, add new capabilities, and hire new talent to grow its portfolio, including potential acquisitions. Lubrizol Life Science will work on developing and testing new products with the company’s customers.
