South Korean chemicals firm LG Chem recently named former 3M Company executive H.C. Shin as its new chief executive officer and vice chairman, the firm announced in a press release Friday.

The incoming 61-year-old CEO started his career at 3M in Korea in 1984 and has held a variety of senior management roles at the company over the decades, including executive vice president of 3M International Operations. We are to recruit him as he is the right person capable of pre-emptively responding to rapidly changing business environment while leading the change in corporate culture and structure,” LG Chem said in a statement.
