Jenike & Johanson to Hold Solids Flow Fundamentals Class
May 15, 2017
Jenike & Johanson is offering a one-day seminar on bulk solids flow fundemendals this June 15 in Tyngsboro, MA covering common bulk solids flow problems, material flow properties characterization, and more.
“Proper training of personnel involved in solids handling and processing is essential to operating an efficient and reliable bulk solids handling system,” the firm wrote in its event listing. “Since the theory of bulk solids handling is seldom a part of formal engineering training, many in the industry lack an understanding of why solids handling problems occur and what practical steps can be taken to diagnose, alleviate, or prevent them.”
The class, “One Day & J&J – A Bulk Solids Flow Fundamentals Seminar,” will delve into flow issues with solos, bins, and hoppers, a demonstration of material flow properties characterization in Jenike & Johanson’s laboratory, and a discussion with J&J engineers on proven, cost-effective design solutions and other topics.

Design, project, and research engineers or scientists are encouraged to attend, in addition to those with an interest in bulk solids testing or plant operation personal overseeing the solution and prevention of solids flow issues or purchasing solids handling equipment.
Registration costs $350 prior to May 31 and $400 after that date. A discount is available for companies sending multiple attendees.
