Ingredients and Additives Firm Sensient Expands to Morocco

Milwaukee, WI-based colors, flavors, and fragrances manufacturer Sensient Technologies Corporation established a subsidiary in Morocco to serve customers in the country’s agriculture, food, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries, numerous Moroccan news outlets reported this week.

The English-language website Morocco World News reported that Sensient will compete in the local additives market, valued at MAD 1 billion, or about $105 million USD, with local competitors providing products locally from other global additives producers like BASF, Arkema, and Vitablend.

Another U.S. firm, Archer Daniels Midland, recently acquired a Tate & Lyle facility in Casablanca that makes sweeteners, starch, and other products, the World News noted.

Sensient’s subsidiary is based in Casablanca.
