A new fertilizer tower is now operational at the Hensall District Co-op fertilizer blending facility in Drayton, ON that is capable of producing 160 MT/hr, local news organizations reported this week. The tower also features storage capacity of 2500 MT, HIM blending technology, and overhead loading systems.

“Expanding our fertilizer blending footprint to Drayton provides us the opportunity to provide services to more of our members when they need them,” Brad Chandler, the chief executive officer of the Hensall Co-op, said in a statement printed by the Kingston Whig-Standard. “At the same time, we have invested in state-of-the-art blending technology to ensure that we are providing the proper nutrient source. The HIM mixer is considered the most accurate blender on the market.”

In addition to the tower, which is located next to an existing grain elevator, the company also recently increased the site’s liquid fertilizer storage capacity and added a certified crop protection chemical and seed warehouse, according to coverage by BlackburnNews.com. The tower was opened in time for the 2019 growing season.

Hensall Co-op, based in Hensall, ON, has been in business for more than 75 years.
