Confectionery manufacturer Ferrero USA opened a new 643,798-sq-ft distribution center in Goodyear, AZ, the company announced Thursday. The recently erected site will distribute Butterfinger, Crunch, Baby Finger and other candy brands in North America.
“Ferrero is investing in our presence and business in the U.S.,” Ferrero North America President and CEO Paul Chibe said in a company press release. “We’re introducing new brands and innovations, hiring top talent, and opening state-of-the-art facilities like this new Goodyear distribution center, all of which will help us continue to fuel the confectionery category.”
The company plans to add capabilities to distribute other Ferrero brands like Nutella, Tic Tac, Kinder, and Ferrero Rocher in the future.
Ferrero also opened a new 750,000-sq-ft distribution facility in Jonestown, PA in November 2019 that will support the rollout of new products and brands in North America.
“The rapid development of our supply chain helps drive strong growth for Ferrero,” Luca Robbiano, vice president of North America supply chain for Ferrero, said in the release. “Our new facilities in Pennsylvania and now Arizona represent important milestones in the expansion of our logistics capabilities in the market.”
The company tapped DHL Supply Chain North America for warehouse services at the Goodyear distribution center, including shipment consolidation, packaging, distribution, and inventory management.
