Fire prevention solutions and measuring systems manufacturer Fagus GreCon Inc. announced that Eric Peterson joined the company as its chief executive officer on August 14. He will be based at the firm’s North American headquarters in Charlotte, NC.

“I am honored to be selected as Fagus GreCon’s next CEO. It is a privilege to be a part of an organization with such a rich history of delivering innovative high-quality products and services that not only keep our customers safer but helps them reduce their costs,” said Peterson in a company press release.

The newly-appointed executive has over two decades of experience leading teams across a range of manufacturing industries, including food and building products. Peterson most recently served as the leader of Husqvarna Group’s retail handheld portfolio. Earlier in his career, Peterson occupied the role of President of Sakrete of North America.

He earned an MBA from Indiana University and a BS in Accounting from the University of Illinois.

Fagus GreCon moved its organization from Portland, OR to Charlotte, NC two years ago to be closer to its customers and to conduct sales visits, technical support calls, and service visits more quickly and efficiently, according to the company.
