Endress+Hauser Breaks Ground at New $35M Gulf Coast Site
March 8, 2019
Automation company Endress+Hauser broke ground on a new $35.8M facility in the U.S. Gulf Coast region this Thursday, a company press release announced. The 112,000 square-foot Gulf Coast Regional Center Campus will be constructed in Pearland, TX.
“We continue to make investments that enable growth and further expansion in the US market,” said Matthias Altendorf, chief executive officer of the Endress+Hauser Group. “The campus investment will strengthen cooperation and relationships with our sales representatives, strategic partnerships and our customers. We are excited to continue expanding our presence and business in the Gulf region and look forward to growth in Pearland.”
Slated to become operational by 2020, the new campus in Pearland’s lower Kirby District near Houston will offer areas for calibration, repair and training, which will include a brand new state-of-the-art PTU (Process Training Unit). The facility will house teams to support Endress+Hauser’s products, solutions and services for process automation, SpectraSensors’ gas analysis systems for the U.S. and international customers and Analytik Jena’s product lines for laboratory instrumentation. The campus will include a building and warehouse location for Endress+Hauser’s partner for Sales and Service in the Gulf Region, Vector Controls and Automation Group. Once up and running, the new campus will house approximately 110 employees.
Zeigler Cooper Architects, the architectural project designer, has engineered a design with emphasis on regional Texas architecture, which includes responsiveness to the local climate, use of regionally authentic interior and exterior materials and attention to scale are critical to the success of the project. The building will be designed under the guidelines of a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) “Silver” project as stipulated by the U.S. Green Building Council, reflecting Endress+Hauser’s sustainability principles. The project will be led and managed by Genesis Property Development.
