Former L’Occitane executive Caroline Le Roch joined Godiva Chocolatier as its president of Americas and became a member of the firm’s executive committee on April 1, the company announced in a recent release.

In her new role, Le Roch will help Godiva expand in the Americas region with new products and categories, bolster the firm’s distribution channels, take on new territory, and open Godiva Cafes in select markets.

“She has extensive experience in building and leading high-performing teams across channels and geographies, which will be invaluable to us as we grow our business fivefold over the next six years,” said the company’s chief executive officer, Annie Young-Scrivner, in a statement. “Caroline is also a true believer in developing talent, which aligns perfectly with the tremendous value we place on investing in our people so that they can realize their full potential.”

Le Roch earned a master’s degree from La Sorbonne in Paris, France and has about 20 years of experience in sales, merchandising and global leadership. She most recently served as Interim Managing Director at L’Occitane. Upon joining Godiva, Le Roch will be based out of the company’s headquarters in New York City.

“After many years in the fast-growing beauty industry, I am looking forward to this intriguing change to F&B and bringing my experience and knowledge to Godiva, especially at such a pivotal time for the brand,” said Le Roch in the release. “I look forward to partnering with the company’s talented and passionate teams to ensure the Godiva brand achieves unprecedented growth and creates more wonderful moments in the lives of our customers.”
